Nadine Hinchliff Therapy Services provides services for children with various needs including, but not limited to; autism, developmental delay disorder, cerebral palsy, asperger’s syndrome, down syndrome, rett’s disorder, fragile X syndrome, childhood disintegrative disorder, sensory integration disorder, school difficulties and mental health issues.

The ‘Red Flag’ – Early Intervention Referral Guide for Children 0-5 years. This has been developed by Child Development Program Children’s Health Services in conjunction with GP partners.
This document flags areas of concern in children’s development from 0-5 and recommends that they follow up on these concerns with their Child Health Nurse and GP. Please see document below.

Funding Options – Nadine Hinchliff Therapy Services is a registered provider for the following programs:

Enhanced Primary Care Plan (EPC) / Chronic Disease Management (CDM)

This referral is available for both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology interventions.

A GP referral will provide five sessions of occupational therapy or speech pathology with a reduced cost per year. Rebate claims are then made through Medicare. Please be aware there will be an out of pocket expense with this referral, however, it is a means of supporting your treatment costs.

Helping Children with Autism – FaHCSIA Funding

Both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services are available via this funding package.

Children with a paediatrician confirmed diagnosis of Autistic Spectrum Disorder may be eligible to receive funding through the Australian Government’s Helping Children with Autism (HCWA) package. Better Access – FaHCSIA Funding

Both Occupational Therapy and Speech Pathology Services are available via this funding package.

Eligible children who are aged under six years and have been diagnosed with:

  • Down syndrome
  • cerebral palsy
  • Fragile X syndrome
  • a moderate or greater vision or hearing impairment, including deafblindness
  • Prader Willi syndrome
  • Williams syndrome
  • Angelman syndrome
  • Kabuki syndrome
  • Smith-Magenis syndrome
  • CHARGE syndrome
  • Cornelia de Lange syndrome
  • ‘Cri du Chat syndrome
  • Microcephaly or
  • Rett’s Disorder

Better Access Mental Health Care Plan

This referral is for Occupational Therapy intervention only.

Children with the following specific mental disorders are eligible for this plan; anxiety, depression, autism spectrum disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and conduct disorder. Please enquire as this is a general list of mental disorders. For further information please see the Mental Health page.

Children’s Mental Health Services – ATAPS Mental Health Provider

This referral is for Occupational Therapy intervention only.

Nadine Hinchliff is a ATAPS Mental Health Provider for children. Children who may be experiencing bullying, behavioural issues, separation anxiety, depression, anxiety or suicidal tendencies may benefit from occupational therapy intervention/support.  Nadine has extensive experience working with children with behavioural and emotional issues. Private Health Funds

If you have appropriate cover either Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology attract a private health rebate.

Rebates are claimable from most private health funds. However, a gap payment must be paid.
